Uhland is small, sits in the fast-growing corridor between Austin and San Marcos, and has more new construction around it every year. Its housing runs from long-standing properties on larger lots to recent subdivision builds, and those two need very different service.
On the newer homes, equipment is young enough that replacement is almost never the honest answer. What we find is builder-grade equipment specified to hit a price rather than to hold a Central Texas August, ducts installed quickly and never balanced, undersized returns, and rooms at the end of a run several degrees warm from June onward. On older and manufactured homes, duct leaking into the crawl space and electric resistance heat are both common — dependable, and expensive to run.
Out here fewer contractors are willing to make the drive, so small faults sit until they become emergencies. We route this corridor deliberately. Every visit includes a full system evaluation with photos and video of what we found, and three options with the actual numbers.
