Hays is a small community in a county that has grown up around it, and homes here sit on larger lots along farm roads rather than in dense subdivisions. That distance is the first thing that shapes service: plenty of contractors quote the drive before the work.
The housing is mixed — older properties, manufactured homes, and newer builds on acreage. Older systems out here often run electric resistance heat, which is reliable and expensive, and propane appears often enough to matter. What these homes share is that a small fault left alone becomes an emergency, because the nearest help is not five minutes away.
Central Texas summers are long and the load is relentless. We would rather find a failing capacitor or a low charge in April than get the call in the third week of July. Every Hays visit includes a full system evaluation — airflow, static pressure, refrigerant, duct and electrical condition — with photos and video of what we found, and three options with real numbers behind each.
